Philip Shaffer, O.D.
Dr. Philip Shaffer is a fellowship-trained optometrist who specializes in medical and comprehensive eye care including the diagnosis and management of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, anterior segment disorders and the fitting of contact lenses.
Born and raised in Indiana, Dr. Shaffer obtained his undergraduate degree from
DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. He later graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN. After several
primary care jobs, he completed a fellowship in ocular disease. He has held a position as Consultative Optometrist for over 7 years seeing a wide range of medical diseases.
Dr. Shaffer has relocated to Georgia with his wife, 2 children and golden retriever, and he is looking forward to providing top care to these communities.
