Sara Cha, O.D. earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry (UIWRSO) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. She went on to complete a post-doctoral residency in ocular disease and ocular surgery at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, where she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of anterior and posterior segment conditions.
During her fourth-year externship rotations, Dr. Cha gained hands-on experience in specialty contact lens fittings and ocular disease management at the Eye Centers of Texas and Lifetime Eyecare, as well as UIWRSO’s in-house clinics. These clinics included focused training on: Cornea and Contact Lens, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Peri-Operative Care, Sports and Vision Enhancement, Visual Neurophysiology, and Vision Therapy and Binocular Vision.
In recognition of her academic excellence and professional engagement, the American Academy of Optometry awarded her with the J. Pat Cummings Scholarship. She is a current member of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and Georgia Optometric Association. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, doing her nails and exploring new coffee shops.
