Dr. Steffie Shine is an optometrist with clinical training in primary care optometry, ocular disease management and comprehensive eye care. Prior to joining North Georgia Eye Associates, she completed a residency at Georgia Eye Partners, where she gained advanced experience in post-surgical care, glaucoma management and dry eye treatment. Dr. Shine is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care focused on helping patients maintain long-term ocular health and visual wellness.
Dr. Shine earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry, where her clinical training included primary care, pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses and advanced diagnostic testing. During her clinical rotations at The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry, she performed comprehensive eye examinations and cared for patients with a wide range of visual and ocular health needs. Her training also included experience in contact lens evaluations, ocular disease, low vision and vision therapy.
During her residency at Georgia Eye Partners, Dr. Shine provided post-surgical care for cataract, LASIK, corneal transplant and glaucoma procedures while also treating patients with dry eye disease and other chronic ocular conditions. She developed additional experience in comprehensive eye care, patient education and disease management across diverse patient populations.
Prior to optometry school, Dr. Shine worked in optical care and patient services, where she assisted patients with eyewear selection, fittings and repairs while helping educate patients on their vision and eye health needs. Her combined clinical and patient care experience contributes to her compassionate, approachable style of care and commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
